Welcome to the Agglomeration
Seeing as my good friend William's blog is quite popular for its 'A Day in the life of...well me' posts, I thought I'd do the same thing today for two reasons. Firstly, because it was one hell of a busy day, and secondly because my blog has not been updated for quite a while. Thirdly, yesterday was also too depressing to blog about. Ok so that wasn't two things, blame my sub-structure.
So firstly, I woke up and did a bit of piano practise before going off for a 12pm basketball game against St. Josephs. It was our best game of the season and we pulled off our biggest win with a score of 43-17 even though one of our best players had been moved up to the Cs this week (and i managed to score 6 points)
Then came a 15 minute performance at a chapel service which nearly went horribly wrong but resolved itself in the last second when my duet partner who was running late got there just in time.
A piano lesson later, and I was bound for Lindfield, the site of my second gig for the day. Situated in a black and white tent with an impressive dukebox in the corner, this evening although quite successful and we all received a $25 Itunes Gift Card from it, seemed to me a bit redundant. For 3 reasons.
Firstly, the dukebox was more than sufficient for music in the ambient atmosphere. Secondly, since it was a cocktail party there would be much socialising and so was it really worth getting 3 boys going all the way out there just to play background? No. Oh wait, that was only two reasons, again blame the substructure.
Funniest thing of the night was this Asian parent who we went to in our break for drinks. He said two things that were funny. Firstly, he asked me, "Are you in Year 7?" Personally I thought the answer was fairly obvious but when I said 'No' he then asked me if I would like to drink orange juice or beer...going on to say that we were allowed. Although we politely declined at the time, Tim Chan managed to get a glass of champagne of him at the end of the gig. Slightly amusing...but also worrying, seeing this fella is a Year 6 parent and might be giving his boy the booze next year...
That's it really. Now i'm off to go watch Good News Week.
Ciao!
Till next time, may you agglomerate all your unpremeditated contemplations.
