A New Era of Poems

Welcome to the Agglomeration

Since I have not produced a poem for quite a while, I have endeavoured to create a new piece that I can submit for New Enigma, along with 'Onyx', 'Reaper' and 'Fire'. I hope you enjoy this poem, and please comment on any four of these. Constructive criticism will be appreciated.

Republic of the Red Butterflies

Deathly Metamorphosis
and Kafkaesque alienation,
the remnants of fragility
and Monarchal reign.
Ground littered with leaves
and coated with wispy silver dust,
the enchanting historiography
of botanical aetiology.
Alated patterns cultivate majesty
and philanthropic intent.
Like the lost cities of Atlantis
and Machu Picchu, time and beauty
create the static status of stasis
and golden shimmers evaporate under
skies decorated with celestial nebulae.
On blue-mooned nights, the forest awakens,
the creatures revitalised, the rituals resurface.
Ancient tributes to their Maker,
whilst worshipping perpetual pedestrian elasticity,
they have their wingding.
Secrecy accommodates this forbidden culture,
but patient and airy, they endure in defiance.
The trees glow red, the earthly cracks widen,
and we are in their presence, unknowingly in our
slumber, we are exposed. Crimson hue lingers,
they live, and then retreat to their subterranean abode
as scarlet meets amber rays and fade to light.
The day is young as the cycle begins anew.
In radiant dewshine, the ground falls silent,
the trees become still and the culture, buried.
Natural adaptation of survival instincts,
but the ruby does not change.
Deathly Metamorphosis
and Kafkaesque alienation,
the remnants of fragility
and Monarchal reign.

Till next time, may you agglomerate all your unpremeditated contemplations

Eric, I love this poem. I see you've taken "tight structure" on board.

The Dom-inator?!?

Anyway, I appreciate the images that you convey in the poem. They stand out to me in this poem.
